Seagreen Soil Conditioner®
Seagreen soil conditioner is produced from specially selected marine algae which is freshly harvested, washed and processed at low temperature to preserve its valuable enzymes and amino acids. Seagreen enables the roots to make more efficient use of water and applied nutrients which reduces leaching and saves irrigation and chemical costs.
On sand based constructions, by its very nature, lacks trace elements and the ability to retain moisture and nutrients. seagreen adds concentrated chelated trace elements in a balanced plant form which only break down slowly enriching the root zone with organic matter, micro-nutrients, amino acids and enzymes. |
* Apply following hollow coring in Spring and Autumn and incorporate in the root zone medium prior to seeding or re-turfing
Application Rates
Golf and Bowling greens: 90g/m2
Fairways,sports pitches: 45g/m2
Re-seed areas, seed bed preparation: 180g/m2

Soil Rootzone Survey
A diagram to show desired soil conditions (base saturation) |
?The physical, biological and chemical attributes of the soil will often be reflected in the relationship of the cations on the base, for example, a soil with high calcium on the base will tend to be open whereas a soil with high magnesium will tend to be sticky
and difficult to work. |

Standard soil tests are designed to look at the level of “available” phosphate (P), potassium (K) and magnesium (Mg.) These levels are determined by chemical extraction and the amount of extracted nutrient is then measured and said to be available to the plant. Although plants take nutrients from the soil solution, they do not use the chemical extraction process that the laboratory does. The result is that nutrients may not be as “available” as you think.
The soil audit identifies the potential that a soil has to support plant growth and highlights limitations such as drainage and compaction, chemical, nutrient or biological. Measurements are taken for total and available levels of plant nutrients to indicate soil reserves and the need to apply nutrients. |
